River
The headwaters of the Macquarie River are around Oberon. It then flows generally north-west for close to 1,000 kilometres, past Bathurst and into Lake Burrendong – a water sports playground for the region – and on through Wellington, Dubbo, Narromine and Warren to then form the World recognised Macquarie marshes before flowing into the Barwon River, which then joins the Darling River. So there’s no shortage of river for you to explore and relax beside.
As we like to say, let the river be your tour guide.
