Taronga Western Plains Zoo is home to over 700 animals in three sq km of bushland. As you explore the Zoo you’ll find yourself surrounded by magnificent wildlife in wide open plains. Whether you walk or ride around the zoo circuit on hired bikes or carts, it’s a fun way to spend time with family and friends, away from it all. The Zoo offers a range of daily activities including a full schedule of keeper talks and feeds, tours and animal encounters. The newly opened FREE Savannah Visitor Plaza includes zoo ticketing and information, shop, award winning Safari Playground, jumping castle, free BBQs and picnic grounds. Visitors can also enjoy fresh food and amazing views at Bakhita’ Café. The Savannah Visitor Plaza overlooks the stunning Savannah Lake and Primate Islands, home to Ring-tailed Lemurs and Spider Monkeys.

Taronga Western Plains Zoo is renowned for its successful breeding programs for rare and endangered species including the Black Rhinoceros.
