Sealed road almost all the way…last few kilometres are gravel road. The roads in the Reserve are not sealed and may be impassable after moderate to heavy rain without 4WD. There are no toilets or shower facilities or rubbish bins. Tent-based camping allowed. No caravans or campervans.
From Wellington take the highway to Geurie-Dubbo. At Geurie follows the signs (to the right to Bald Hills Reserve and Old Dubbo Road). Follow this road for several kilometres (it twists and turns a lot!) until you see the green Reserve sign on your left. From Dubbo follow the Old Dubbo Road signs. Ponto Falls Reserve a few kilometres upriver and Butler’s Falls Reserve, Lazy River Estate, Pioneer Cemetery and Pilcher’s Reserve downstream. Bril Bril is also close to Geurie where there are mountain bike trails at the Bald Hills Reserve. Further toward Dubbo along the highway is Wongarbon where you will find the Garling Gallery.
